Turbulence extreme sports were holding a Kite film fest in a cinema in Wales. I decided to stitch a few of my films together to make one long movie but I also wanted to throw in some new bits. I had some great footage of Lewis and his brother Aston, as well as some nice bits of Mark myself and Gay Mark. Dan Frewin had been flying too so I had some shots of him but did I have enough to make a songs worth of film? I had been meaning to get some footage of John, the car park man, but I didn’t want to film him while my mates were there. I decided to go to the beach midweek and asked John if he would mind saying a few things to the camera for me. John was an absolute star and he looks after all the kiters at Brancaster. I didn’t last long and as Rob was trying to slow down, the front end of the buggy lifted up and sent me flying! This was pretty much the last we all saw of Rob for a while. He moved to New Zealand for a year and then to Llandudno, North Wales. Even with all the new up and coming stars of buggying, Rob is still
