If anyone asks me to show them what kiting is all about, I show them this film. The riders were just mental! This was filmed in just 2 or 3 sessions and introduced the world to a new landboard superstar, Lewis Wilby. I’d seen Lewis at Branny a few times, he’d be doing these amazing things with his board but was a bit shy to come near the camera, that soon changed. Whenever I watch this film it reminds me of what I think kiting is all about, having fun. All the riders were pushing new boundaries and developing their own style, Mark was doing deadman inverts, Rob was doing 1-handed 1-footed kiteloop sidewinders(or spanky trick as we used to call it!), I got my first heel-clicker, Phatdan and Butch were going as big as ever and Gay Mark was still trying to jump over the water hazard on the beach(I have got so many outtakes of all the failed attempts). Riders like Goofy and Craig were catching everyone else up very quickly.
